Journeys, Journals, and Junctions (3J) “DiscoverEU”

Explore Europe.

Share Your Story.

Build New Connections.

Journeys, Journals, and Junctions (3J) started

We are excited to announce the start of Journeys, Journals, and Junctions (3J), a project that supports young participants living in Germany in gaining the confidence, skills, and opportunity to travel across Europe.

For many young people with migration or displacement experiences, travelling can feel difficult because of financial challenges, language barriers, limited networks, or uncertainty about planning a journey independently. Through 3J, participants will receive mentoring, a safe travel toolkit, and practical support to help them feel prepared and confident.

The project brings together three groups, each made up of five participants and one group leader. During their journeys, participants will share their experiences through a collaborative Instagram account, including posts, stories, and personal reflections. Their voices will help show both the challenges and positive moments of travelling in Europe, while also offering advice and encouragement to other young people.

We are thankful to all participants, group leaders, and the DiscoverEU programme for helping make these dreams come true. The groups are ready to begin — and we are excited to follow their journey!

Successful participation in the Erasmus+ project “Every Step Tolerance (EVEREST)” in Luxembourg.

Ukrainischer Kultur und Bildungsverein Mönchengladbach e.V. is pleased to announce its successful participation in the Erasmus+ youth project “Every Step Tolerance (EVEREST)”, which took place from 6 to 15 June 2026 in Luxembourg.

Our representatives actively participated in all project activities and worked together with young people and partner organisations from various European countries. The project provided a valuable platform for intercultural exchange, mutual learning and the promotion of European values.

The Erasmus+ project “Every Step Tolerance (EVEREST)” aims to promote inclusion, diversity and tolerance through different dance methods as an instrument of intercultural exchange and awareness-raising. Inspired by the fundamental values and strategies of the European Union, the project is committed to reducing prejudices, counteracting discrimination and strengthening mutual respect.

During the project, the participants got to know traditional dances of different cultures and exchanged their experiences. These included, among others, Afro Dance, Zeybek, Hopak, Flamenco, Tarantella and other dance styles. Together, the international groups developed a unique choreography that conveys the messages of inclusion, cultural diversity and mutual respect and is intended to carry these values into their local communities.

Our representatives returned to Monchengladbach with valuable experiences, new intercultural competences, international friendships and many new ideas for future youth and cultural projects.

We sincerely thank „PRODUCTION D’ARTISTES PLURIELS“ for the excellent organisation and hospitality, as well as all partner organisations and participants who made this Erasmus+ project a great success.

We are proud to have been part of this inspiring European initiative and look forward to further international cooperation within the Erasmus+ programme.

We sincerely thank to „PRODUCTION D’ARTISTES PLURIELS“ as well as to all project partners for the successful cooperation and the unforgettable experience in the project “Every Step Tolerance (EVEREST)”!

Participation in Strategic Retreat for NGO Leaders in Bulgaria

At the end of August, Ukrainischer Kultur und Bildungsverein Mönchengladbach e.V. participated in the Strategic Retreat for NGO Leaders & Decision-Makers in Dzhurovo, Bulgaria 🇧🇬. Hosted at Synergy House and organized under the Erasmus+ programme, co-funded by the European Union, the retreat brought together NGO leaders from across Europe for six days of learning, reflection, and collaboration.

Participants exchanged ideas, explored leadership practices, and discussed strategies for building stronger, more sustainable, and impactful organizations. As a young NGO, this experience provided us with fresh energy, clear strategies, and a renewed commitment to fostering communities that make a lasting difference.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Synergy Bulgaria, the trainers, and all participants who contributed to this inspiring and meaningful experience.

Successful Completion of START Erasmus+ Training Course

From 28 July to 6 August 2025, we successfully held the training course of our Erasmus+ KA153 project, “Social Trust and Refugee Togetherness (START)” in Bonn, Germany.

The course brought together participants from multiple countries to exchange experiences, develop skills, and explore strategies for supporting young refugees. Through workshops, discussions, and collaborative activities, participants strengthened their understanding of social trust, inclusion, and community engagement.

We are proud of the energy, commitment, and creativity demonstrated by all participants and trainers, and we look forward to continuing our work to empower young people and foster solidarity across Europe.

After completing the START: Social Trust and Refugee Togetherness training course, our participants returned to their countries inspired and equipped with new knowledge and tools. They applied the outcomes of the training to organize follow-up activities, workshops, and initiatives, fostering social trust, inclusion, and support for young refugees in their local communities.

Community Lunch & Storytelling Event

On June 21, we warmly welcomed our community to a special gathering at Hotel Zur Mühle in Nettetal. Starting with a shared lunch, the event created space for storytelling rounds, where Ukrainian refugees shared their personal journeys and experiences.

Beyond food and conversation, the afternoon offered moments of solidarity, cultural exchange, and friendship. The program concluded with a relaxed picnic, giving everyone the chance to connect in an open and welcoming atmosphere.

We thank all participants for joining us, bringing their voices, and making this day one of community and togetherness. Events like this remind us of the importance of dialogue, shared meals, and the bonds that bring people closer.
